Edu-GIRLS is applying 10 Mantras that are based on holistic global best practice interventions uniquely responsive in addressing barriers of poverty and gender that stand in the way of educating girls.

Our programs are implemented across four schools. They are executed at a low cost by applying economical solutions, developing partnerships, and minimizing non-educational overheads.

 

Raising well educated, financially independent, and confident girls who are aware of their rights and responsibilities. Measurable Indicators include:

The Edu-GIRLS TEN MANTRAS PACKAGE

1. Free Education: Charge no fees and offer free uniforms, shoes, and school supplies to ensure that girls are not kept out of schools due to poverty.

2. Shorter School Days and a Longer School year: Provide buses and e-rickshaws between home and a secure school campus to ensure safety and save time.

3. Safe Campus and Transportation: Customize schedules and offer more school days so girls can fulfill household and work responsibilities that limit their learning time.

4. Nutrition, Health and Hygiene: Ensure a healthy body and a fresh mind through midday meals, nutritious snacks, health checkups and a free supply of hygiene products..

5. Quality Education: Build strong foundations through Early Childhood Development. Offer 24X7 digital learning through MindSpark. Have regular independent testing of girls and teachers on ASSET to enhance skills.

6. Performance Incentives: Offer high school science and math streams and technology immersion options to increase career opportunities post-graduation.

7. STEM Education: Offer merit-based awards in all grades for students and incentives for teachers to improve pedagogical skills.

8. Vocational/College Scholarships and Career Counseling: Motivate and engage parents to keep girls in school and pursue careers after high school by delaying marriage.

9. Community Outreach: Promote performing arts, sports, self-defense, debate, team and stress management skills.
