Dau Dayal Primary School, located in Firozabad, India, is the newest addition to the Edu-GIRLS portfolio. It is part of the Dau Dayal Girls Inter-College which has been providing education to girls for more than 50 years as a Government aided school. The school is committed to progressively implementing all elements of the Edu-GIRLS Ten Mantras model, starting with providing quality English medium education in Grades 1 through 8, with plans to expand to higher grades, and eventually to steering its girls into professional careers.
Dau Dayal girls are currently at 85th percentile of the standardized national average ASSET tests which is taken by 350,000 children in 1000 private English medium schools.
The recently launched Early Childhood Program aims to build a strong foundation for our youngest girls, working in partnership with the new Edu-GIRLS Technical Assistance Office in Jaipur.
Future Plans:
Enhance enrollment by overcoming constraints faced by girls: shoes, transport, hunger and health care.
Enhance Teacher skills especially in English language, through regular independent testing, high quality support and incentives to perform well.
Create an independent Girls English School with its own principal, independent testing and modern teaching methods.
Achieve national parity on ASSET tests by 2025/26 school year.
When safe transportation became a challenge, Dau Dayal school found the solution.
